Grounds hire
Those over 50 can enjoy a two hour
sailing session between 10am and 12
noon on Thursday mornings. Come
along and sail or windsurf. All you
need is a little experience and you
can have two hours of fun.
Angling
Angling on the main lake is run
by Welwyn Garden City Angling
Club. You can set up on one of the
designated fishing beaches and the
bailiffs will come round to collect fees.
Aqua Playground playground
The Aqua play area contains
equipment which sprays, squirts,
mists or shoots water into the
play area, giving a fun play for the
youngsters in a safe and interactive
environment. Kiosk and public toilet
facilities are available during opening
times only. For opening times call

The bandstand can be hired on
Sundays between 2 – 4pm.
It has a temporary roof and
electricity supply which can be used
at an extra cost.
Corporate events
We can tailor activities to
accommodate your company’s
requirements and provide instruction
or supervision to give your staff
or group a day to remember.
Costello’s café
The café adjoins the centre and is
open 7 days a week serving a range of
hot and cold food and drinks.

Dinghy parking
Avoid the hassle of trailing your
boat around – Why not store it at
Fairlands Valley.
For the more adventurous who
want to try sailing, we offer stable
craft perfect for most requirements.
Booking in advance is essential.
The Sailing Centre and Café offers
easy access for the disabled and less
able-bodied. See page 5 for Sailability.
Fire Works
Firework display
Our annual firework display is held
on November 5th every year. It is run
by our BTEC qualified staff. We are
also able to provide a professional
firework service at a venue of your
choice. Professional guidance can
be given on a selection of fireworks
appropriate to location, duration and
budget.
Gift Vouchers
We offer gift vouchers for all of our
courses or private tuition if you
want to surprise someone with an
excellent gift.
We will be happy to advise you on
your event. Please contact us to
arrange an initial site visit. Power and
water available.
Training Training room room
Fairlands Valley has a Training room
in a magnificent parkland setting
and comes complete with modern IT
facilities eg. interactive white board,
WiFi hotspot. Available for club,
corporate and training events, it is
ideal for recreational and educational
purposes.
Various buffet or meals are available
to suit your requirements, whether
it be meetings, training days, team
building or corporate events. All
catering by arrangement with our
on-site caterer Costello’s Catering on
