Many years ago, a D.A.P. staff member thought<br />
that quilting, knitting, crocheting, and other<br />
needlecrafts might help ease hand tremors and<br />
neuropathy, which sometimes accompany HIV<br />
infection. Since then, we’ve created hundreds of<br />
handmade baby blankets and teddy bears for<br />
100 Women members to distribute to migrant farm<br />
women. We’ve also organized quilt raffles and<br />
holiday ornament fairs to raise money for D.A.P.<br />
Along the way, we’ve been offering each other<br />
something invaluable...a nonjudgmental, supportive<br />
place each week where there’s always a smile,<br />
a joke, or a shoulder to lean on.<br />
This and more...all under one roof<br />
