power - ELECTRONIC TRANSFORMER RANGES
Power
KEY FEATURES
• 1.0kV Surge Protection (EMC standard EN 61547:2009)
• Dimmable with Resistive & Inductive dimmers
• Loop-in loop-out primary wiring terminals & integrated earth terminal
• European key components
INDUCTIVE LOAD COMPATIBLE 1.0kV SURGE PROTECTION
All of Aurora's electronic transformers now feature 1.0kV (1000 Volts) Surge
Protection in accordance with the latest EMC standard EN 61547:2009
equipment for general lighting purposes - EMC immunity requirements, which
requires a 1kV surge test. This delivers increased protection against surges
on the mains supply, improved reliability, a longer life and confidence in the
product's ability.
DIMMING – WITH FULL EMC COMPLIANCE
Advanced circuit technology enables all of Aurora's electronic transformers to
be dimmed with all leading brands of dimmer switch. Aurora transformers are
''leading edge'' design and are therefore suitable for use with most leading
and trailing edge dimming systems. Aurora transformers have been approved
for use on Helvar, Lutron, iLight, Futronix, Clipsal Integrated Systems and Rako
dimming systems, amongst others.
SAFETY & ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY
Aurora's electronic transformers are independently tested and approved to all
the latest relevant European Safety and EMC standards by leading European
standards approval bodies, including, VDE, TUV, SEMKO, NEMKO, DEMKO, FIMKO,
etc. This includes the latest revisions to the European Safety and EMC approvals
(EN61347-1:2008 + A1 2011/EN61347-2-2:2001 and EN61547:2009).
OVERLOAD & SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION
For safety reasons all of Aurora's electronic transformers feature a unique
control circuit which enables overload and short circuit protection to function
with or without a dimmer switch in the circuit.
SURFACE MOUNT TECHNOLOGY (SMT)
All of Aurora's electronic transformers feature SMT components. Computerised,
high speed production techniques allow miniaturised electronic components
to be precisely positioned on the circuit board for enhanced reliability in a
space saving package.
PREMIUM
10 YEAR GUARANTEE
High specification electronic transformers incorporate installer
friendly features such as loop-in, loop-out primary wiring
terminals, integrated earth terminal and multiple outputs.
SOFT START
All of Aurora's electronic transformers feature soft start, a low stress start-up
feature that reduces both component stress and the current surge to the lamp
at initial switch on, thus prolonging lamp life and reducing re-lamping costs.
SAFETY INSULATION & AUTO-RESET THERMAL PROTECTION (SPECIFIC
MODELS)
All of Aurora's electronic transformers are fitted with a high efficiency
toroidal transformer (Japanese ferrite core) with a bobbin case for extra
safety insulation (VDE Standard), improved dimming performance and
heat dissipation. In the event of incorrect installation, auto-reset thermal
protection prevents damage to the product from overheating.
210VA
LOOP-IN, LOOP-OUT PRIMARY WIRING TERMINALS
& INTEGRATED EARTH TERMINAL
UK Registered Design No. 3011949 Two live and neutral terminals and an
integrated earth terminal allow the mains cables to be connected from one
transformer to the next, without the use of a junction box, reducing installation
time and material costs. (Specific models only)
