There are currently 14 courses which contribute to the Programme:
• Year Book
• Black and White Photography
• Boot camp circuit training
• Practical Art Course
• Student Cookery
• Medical Ethics
• Swedish
• Politics, Society and Media
• Mock Trial
• Moral and Ethical Issues
• First Aid/Heartstart
• Food Hygiene
• Business Start-up/Dragons’ Den/Presentation skills
• IT
Over the academic year each student follows three different courses each lasting between
eight and nine weeks. In general, there is no formal assessment involved, though some
courses may offer the opportunity for external accreditation.
In addition to attending classes, there is also a programme of Guest Lectures and workshops.
In recent years, talks have been given by professionals and experts in many fields, including;
sexual health, road safety, risk management, educational innovation, ecology, terrorism,
counter-terrorism and undercover police work, philosophy and psychometric testing.
