A 3,675 square foot multi use facility with a full kitchen. The center has a large playground<br />

on site and plenty <strong>of</strong> parking. The center is a community center providing<br />

services such as birthday parties, meeting/event space, classes for youth and adults, and<br />

after school recreation for youth. This center also <strong>of</strong>fers special events for area youth<br />

throughout the year.<br />

Special Interest<br />

Lipscomb Park Summer Camp (Ages 6-11 yrs.)<br />

There will be field trips, sports and educational activities, as well as weekly themes to<br />

explore for nine weeks. There is a one-time T-shirt fee <strong>of</strong> $7 for each child. Children<br />

must bring their own lunch each day. Bring your child’s birth certificate and parent/<br />

guardian pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> residency and I.D. Child must be six years old at the start <strong>of</strong> camp.<br />

All camps are on first come, first served basis. If the week you desire is full, you may be<br />

put on a waiting list. 20% discount for each additional family member.<br />

Payment methods: cash or check.<br />

Camp registration: Taken at Lipscomb St. Park Community Center in person or online<br />

<strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Melbourne</strong> residents’ financial assistance forms must be turned in by 4/10.<br />

The <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Melbourne</strong> <strong>Leisure</strong> Services is searching for swim instructors, lifeguards and<br />

other aquatic staff to operate the <strong>City</strong>’s three municipal pools. If you are interested in any <strong>of</strong><br />

these positions, please contact Pat Love at 321-255-4608. Job applications are available at<br />

the Eau Gallie Civic Center and the Personnel Division located at <strong>City</strong> Hall.<br />

Aquatics<br />

The <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Melbourne</strong> has three swimming pools. There is a fee to use these pools during<br />

public swim hours (see below). Swim season begins Saturday, 5/25. Beginning Saturday,<br />

8/10, pools are open weekends only and until 9/2. Ages eleven and under must be accompanied<br />

by an adult (18 & up) at all times. All persons must wear a swimsuit.<br />
