Proposal & Report Submission
The following agencies are conducting business electronically:
National Science Foundation (NSF):
http://www.fastlane.nsf.gov
Fastlane uses the World Wide Web to facilitate business
transactions and the exchange of information between NSF and its
client communities in submitting and reviewing proposals, the
submission of annual and final project reports, and all other postaward
notifications and requests. The Fastlane system has been
under development for several years and has been in operation
since October 1, 2000.
A faculty member who has never submitted a proposal to NSF must
be registered through Fastlane before beginning the Proposal
Preparation process. The Office of Sponsored Programs has the
responsibility of registering and assigning passwords for each
faculty member submitting a proposal to NSF. Please contact our
office at 771-2809 if you need to register.
U. S. Department of Energy (US DOE):

Industry Interactive Procurement System (IIPS) is the electronic
format required by DOE for submitting a proposal. IIPS
provides the medium for disseminating solicitations, receiving
applications, and evaluating applications. Southern University is
registered and utilizing the IIPS System through the Office of
Sponsored Programs who is the authorized office to submit
proposals to U.S. DOE.
Office of Naval Research (ONR):

ONR offers AwardWeb and AdminWeb as electronic distribution
mediums to expedite the receipt of awards and modifications,
tracking of expiring or expired awards, the successful
submission of reports and no-cost extensions.
The Office of Sponsored Programs is assigned a password for
AwardWeb and AdminWeb. If you have an award funded or
anticipated by ONR, please be aware of the electronic
requirements.
Louisiana Board of Regents (BOR):

The Office of Sponsored Programs at the Board of Regents made
a significant change in the reporting requirements for Support
Fund (LEQSF) project reports. The Reporting System uses
“LOGAN” to facilitate the way the BOR does business with the
research, education, and related communities. The system is
available for project reporting, fiscal reporting, and post-award
administrative activities. All Interim/Annual and Final Reports and
Expenditure Reports must be completed electronically.
Please be reminded that if you have an awarded BOR Support
Fund project or if you receive an award in the future, a report is
due electronically. The Office of Sponsored Programs informs the
Principal Investigator of the type and format required, as well as
the due date.
National Institutes of Health (NIH):

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has developed a system to
facilitate the discrete change of essential information between
NIH and applicant organizations. “Commons” is a Web interface
where NIH and the grantee community are able to conduct their
extramural research administration business electronically.
Registering with the “Commons” SUBR faculty and staff will be
able to take advantage of electronic submission and retrieval of
grant information.

Grants.gov allows organizations to electronically find and apply for
competitive grant opportunities from all Federal grant-making
agencies. Grants.gov is the single access point for over 900 grant
programs offered by the 26 Federal grant-making agencies.
