Systemic Constellations in
Theory-based Evaluations

In theory-based evaluations programme theories
are used to illustrate and analyse short, medium
and long term impacts of the programmes.
However, in order to gain a holistic understanding
of a programme, it is important to consider the
behavioural orientation and motivation of the
stakeholders involved.
İki temel araştırma projesi kapsamında, sistemik
danışma pratiğinin bir yöntemi olan sistemik
kümeleme, ilk defa kuram tabanlı değerlendirmeler
çerçevesinde test edildi ve aktörler arasındaki resmi
ve gayri resmi ilişkileri incelemek için sezgisel bir
araç olarak kullanıldı. Bu yolla elde edilen bilgiler,
takiben geliştirilecek aktör merkezli program
kuramları ve değerlendirmeleri için bir temel
oluşturmaktadır.
In two basic research projects (2010-2011
and 2005-2007) systemic constellations, usually
used in systemic consultation practice, were
adapted to use them in the context of theorybased
evaluations for the first time.
System constellations were used as a heuristic
tool to analyse formal and informal relationships
between different actors. The insights gained
serve as a basis for more actor-centred theories
and programme evaluations.

Several case studies was conducted to illustrate
and reflect upon the initial experience with
systemic constellations in theory-based
evaluations.
