To better serve all clients, the nuances of a central Intake system were discussed to thereby enhancing data collection and being able to better serve our clients. In coordinating with all service providers, we hope the CoC will be able to creatively create a central intake system without overburdening human and financial resources. As CoC Lead, the Tarrant County Homeless Coalition represents all agencies that are members to the CoC and are aware of needs in the community. Agencies such as Meals on Wheels or services for the Aging were not formally consulted as ESG funds are specific for homeless populations. However, through other meetings and networking opportunities clients from Meals on Wheels and Tarrant County Aging Services were provided with information about Tarrant County Housing rehabilitation program so that our services may be provided to those in need. Other local/regional/state/federal planning efforts considered when preparing the Plan Name of Plan Lead Organization How do the goals of your Strategic Plan overlap with the goals of each plan? Continuum of Care Tarrant County Homeless Coalition The goal of ending homelessness overlaps in our programs and strategic plans are made accordingly. Transit Accessibility Planning for Livable Military Communities Narrative Tarrant Riders Network (TRN) North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) Lack of transportation affects where a family may live. As such, Tarrant County is closely involved with transit accessibility for those who lack affordable transportation. The TRN is comprised of providers, interested citizens and agencies that receive funding and can seek alternate funding to help match housing needs and transportation needs which affect health, education and daily living. Tarrant County will take information in mind to develop appropriate housing for those who lack transportation and in seeking other transportation grants related to housing. Through a partnership with the North Central Texas Council of Governments, the Cities of Benbrook, Fort Worth, Lake Worth, River Oaks, Sansom Park, Westworth Village, and White Settlement and in conjunction with Tarrant County, a need was identified to conduct planning studies for the area surrounding the Naval Air Station Fort Worth, Joint Reserve Base (NAS Fort Worth, JRB). The community identified goals to evaluate transportation options, support economic development initiatives, evaluate housing and retail markets in the area, and complete local government comprehensive plan updates. Tarrant County CDBG is anticipated to help implement development plans in the future.
