President’s Message
Thankfulness
Leadership is only for a limited time.
That is the way it should be. Each of us makes our contribution and gives way for
others to continue on their own path.
This year we have accomplished quite a few things to be proud of.
Here are some of them:
Shortened the business portion of the monthly meeting.
Had monthly meetings with great speakers.
Maintained our membership numbers for 4 Directors on the CLSA Board.
Started the speakers at 7 (Well, most of the time)
Itemized and tracked our earnings and expenses.
Held LS preparation class.
Visited and had joint meetings with other chapters
(Northern Counties, Central Valley, East Bay, Monterey Bay)
Provided Scholarships.
Held a mini seminar.
Provided lunches to examinees in April and October.
It is your participation with the Chapter that makes these things, and so many more,
possible. I want to thank you for your part.
Of course, special thanks must go out to the other officers. Without their diligence
in their charges, the chapter could not meet its challenges and obligations.
I would also like to thank you for the incredible opportunity to be president this year.
I will take away so much more than I have given, learned so much more than I
could teach. It is a journey I will not forget.
I wish you all the best of holiday seasons and a
prosperous new year.
