and given a background to understanding the reason for
the changes. The over 500 liturgical ministers, who have
We are blessed by the 139 altar servers (4th grade
through adult), 205 Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist
and 60 Proclaimers who faithfully serve at the table of
the Lord. We are blessed, too, by the 20+ members of the
Children’s Liturgy of the Word Team, the 5 Family Mass
Host Families, the 41 Greeters, 15 Liturgy Coordinators, 13
Sacristans and 31 Ushers who minister at our liturgies. We
are also blessed by the care given by our 13 Bereavement
ministers who faithfully serve us.
The worship life of our community is also supported by
the Keepers of the Feast ministry team who plan the liturgi-
Ministry of Care is a pastoral ministry
of caring for those people hos-
private homes. Ministers are trained

and pray about the concerns of the sick or shut-in persons
and to share the Eucharist with them. Currently, the parish
has 61 mandated Ministers of Care who bring Communion
to Catholics at Condell Hospital, Libertyville Towers, Manor
Care, Spring Meadows, Winchester House and private
homes. The Ministry also organizes Masses and conducts
Communion Services at Libertyville Towers, Manor Care,
Spring Meadows and Winchester House. And, it arranges for
the homebound as needed. St. Joseph Ministers of Care had
