4 The right temperature – the best protection for<br />

your hair<br />

CAUTION: Note that only a few types of hair require the highest temperature setting.<br />

Always use the lowest temperature necessary for good straightening results!<br />

Start with the lowest temperature recommended for the hair structure you want to<br />

treat. Only if straightening is taking a very long time should you increase the temperature,<br />

and then only in small steps.<br />

You can damage the hair by using too high a temperature, keeping the appliance in<br />

contact with the hair for too long or straightening it too frequently. You should not<br />

treat the same section more than once, especially at high temperatures. - Note:<br />

Risk of hair breakage!<br />

For temporary straightening of coloured hair, use the Color Save function.<br />

CAUTION: Do not use the Color Save function for permanent straightening!<br />

The following table shows you what temperatures we recommend for different hair<br />

structures:<br />
