Trent by Numbers Full tUition for Canadian high school students with 90% Awards and Bursaries Green and White Athletic Scholarships Athletic Financial Awards are offered to entering student athletes who have achieved an academic average above 80%, and have been recruited for athletics skills and abilities. trentvarsity.ca/awards.php Children of Trent University Alumni Scholarship Awarded to an entering student with a minimum 80% average whose parents or grandparents attended Trent University. Applications are available through the office of Alumni Affairs: trentu.ca/alumni/benefitsandservices.php Entrance Bursaries Entrance bursaries of $500 and $1,000 are available to students with financial need who are attending post-secondary education for the first time in September. Entrance bursary applications will be available on the Financial Aid website. There are many bursaries available at Trent. Some featured bursaries appear here: All new entering students with a final admission average of 80% or higher will be automatically considered for one of Trent University’s Renewable Entrance Scholarships. Bursary for Dependents of Deceased Canadian Forces Personnel Provides on-campus residence fees for the first fall/winter academic session and basic tuition for fall/winter for a maximum of four academic years. Awarded to one incoming student with a demonstrated financial need. City of Peterborough Entrance Awards For entering students who are residents of the City of Peterborough. A $2,000 award is presented to the top student in each Peterborough high school, who has a minimum 80% average, and displays a financial need. Work-Study program Trent University offers an on-campus work-study program with opportunities for students with a demonstrated financial need. These highly competitive awards are awarded each year to exceptional international scholars who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and community service involvement. Full tuition scholarships are renewable at a minimum average of 90% in at least five Trent credits. Students renewing between 80%-90% will receive the amounts reflected in the chart for transfer students. Prestigious scholarships are renewable at a minimum average of 80%. Maximum values for full tuition scholarships are approximate as tuition rates fluctuate year to year. Your final scholarship amount will be communicated to you by the Financial Aid Office.
