Under glazing flashings are socket jointed and are fixed on each side of the lap. They can also be used to close off vertical sheeting at eaves or sills (see page 38). Under glazing flashing pieces are handed. (Fig.3). Apron flashing pieces Apron flashing pieces consist of a corrugated wing with a flat apron. Typical uses are: flashing between a lean-to roof and vertical abutment; flashing to jack-roof, and flashing under louvre blades. Lap over the top of the roof sheets and fix either side of the lap. Apron flashing pieces are made with a standard left-hand socket and can be used on sheeting laid either left to right or right to left by varying their position relative to the side lap of the sheeting as per the small roll ridge fitting detailed in Example 1 on Page 45.
