20 GOVERNESS CAR, of English origin, to suit approx. 14 hh; painted<br />
black, with red lining and red leather upholstery. The wheels have<br />
been rebuilt by Crofords of Kent and a brake has to be fitted<br />
21 HACKNEY VICEROY, believed to be by Mills of Paddington, to suit<br />
14 to 15-2 hh; in a show finish of black with gold lining. The light,<br />
arched body is on a fine perch and spoked wheels with pneumatic<br />
tyres, with turned spindles to the seat and neat patent mudguards<br />
and dashboard. Purchased in 1996 after being regularly shown<br />
with some success, but since stored; to be sold with a pair of<br />
shafts<br />
22 IRISH JAUNTING CAR to suit 15 to 16 hh; in a natural wood finish with black lining, being an unusually large<br />
version<br />
23 VICTORIA / PHAETON, of Continental origin circa 1910, to suit 14<br />
to 15 hh, single or pair; the body painted mid blue with light blue<br />
lining, with cream wheels and pale blue fabric trim, under a black<br />
hood. The front seat can be detached to enable conversion and<br />
there is a small occasional seat beside the handbrake; suitable for<br />
commercial work but in need of some attention<br />
24 BOW TOP GYPSY WAGON built by Leach & Co. of Leeds circa 1911;<br />
the deep red boarded body on cream unders and wheels, which<br />
have recently been refurbished and fitted with new iron tyres. The<br />
lower panels are decorated with gold scrolls and the chamfered<br />
and shaped edges and ribs are highlighted with green, gold and red<br />
lines, the front bearing a pair of grey horse heads. The interior is<br />
equipped with a stove and sleeping area, there are shafts and steps<br />
to the front, and a pan box and hay rack with canvas to the rear. A<br />
small amount of attention is required to the paintwork, the wagon<br />
having been driven in the Midlands for the last 14 years<br />
