TSS first IV Regional Championships<br />
Congratulations go to the TSS First IV Team in becoming the 2011 Regional Champions in the Queensland Secondary <strong>School</strong> Teams<br />
Competition. Our Team, consisting of Joseph Gersbach, Alec McKenzie, Caleb Brown, Riki Beazley and Jock Campbell, after receiving a<br />
first round bye, comfortably defeated Somerset in the quarter-finals.<br />
<strong>The</strong>y then defeated Helensvale State High <strong>School</strong> five matches to three matches in the semi-finals.<br />
In a match of high quality tennis, of which our <strong>School</strong> and the boys, can be rightly very proud, TSS defeated Coombabah State High<br />
<strong>School</strong> five matches to three in the finals.<br />
Our Team will now contest the state Finals in Rockhampton in mid-September. We wish them every success.<br />
TSS <strong>School</strong> Championships<br />
Congratulations go to all students who recently competed in the Year 8 and Year 9 <strong>School</strong> Championships.<br />
In the Year 8 Championships, Fraser Quirk defeated Kaya Genc in the Finals. While in the Year 9 Championships, Ishvar Nedunchezhian<br />
defeated Bradley Dicks.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Year 10, Year 11 and Open <strong>School</strong> Championships will be contested during the September <strong>School</strong> holidays.<br />
GPS Tennis Season<br />
<strong>The</strong> 2011 GPS Tennis Season commences this Saturday 20 August against Nudgee College.<br />
Our Open and Year 11 teams travel away, whilst our Year 8 and Year 9 teams play at Miami Veterans Tennis Centre and the Year 10 team<br />
play at our TSS <strong>Senior</strong> Courts.<br />
ALL STUDENTS please check the Sports Organisation web for travel, departure and return schedules. Also check the TSS Sports Tennis<br />
website and noticeboard for all team selection.<br />
