Single To Double Glazing Conversion
We will be carrying out this work to the remaining
bungalows with single glazed windows in the Ellesmere
Port and Neston area, 641 bungalows have benefitted
from this programme work when it was completed in
June. The Liverpool Road Estate, Neston and the
Parklands area in Ellesmere Port will also benefit from full
house double glazing conversion as this work is now
being included as part of the External Works Programme
at your, our residents, request.
Kitchen and Bathroom Modernisation Programme
We are still continuing in the Great Sutton area and are
working with our residents to support them through this
process. In the latter part of the year we plan to begin this
work in the Grange Farm area.
A tenant’s story
resident who suffers with dementia. Before the work could
begin in her home, our Resident Liaison Officer, Verna and
Contract Supervisor, Mark discussed with the resident and
her family the work involved and agreed a date on which
the work would begin. During the first week of scheduled
kitchen work the resident’s family were unable to offer any
support as they lived outside the Ellesmere Port area and
were unable to take time off work. With the agreement of
the resident’s family a neighbour offered support by
holding a key for the resident, our Central Control service
were informed of this, in case there were any problems
outside normal office hours.
Resident Liaison Officers, Ann and Verna helped the
resident prepare for the fitting of the new kitchen by
helping her to clear the kitchen area, packing items from
