Tenant Conference 2012
The annual tenant and leaseholder conference took place on
16th May 2012 at the Civic Hall in Ellesmere Port.
The day was split into three distinct sessions. The first
consisted of three workshops covering Welfare Reform,
Plus Dane’s proposed branding and Resident Scrutiny.
The second session was an open ‘Market Place’ and finally
the third session after lunch was a presentation from Plus
Dane’s Managing Director Peter Shaw entitled ‘Plus Dane
– The Future’.
The Market Place session was held in the Civic Suite
which was decked with bunting, balloons and banners;
our internal services were represented by:
Resident Involvement, Repairs, Asset Management, Rent
Income, Communications, Leaseholders, Housing
Management, Supported Housing, Money Advice,
Housing Benefits, Trust Home Choice, HHEET centre and
the Healthy Living Centre. Joining them were
representatives from the Sport Cheshire and West
Cheshire College who provided a selection of tasty food
and their beauty department who were providing
manicure treatments.
Plus Dane staff were on hand to talk to tenants who had
questions about the transfer of the services which will
take place on 1st July, they also used the opportunity to
hold a workshop to gain tenants and leaseholders’ views
on the branding they will use for Ellesmere Port and
Neston area.
We were thrilled by the commitment of staff who took
part and the imaginative and original displays they
created on their stalls. Well over a 100 tenants attended
the event and we were delighted to be told by tenants
they thoroughly enjoyed the day - particularly as they
were able to meet the staff and discuss any issues they
had in an informal setting.
