GUIDELINES FOR PAYING TUITION AND FEES<br />
A current <strong>schedule</strong> of tuition costs and fees, is available on <strong>the</strong><br />
College’s website at:<br />

Please visit <strong>the</strong> Office of Student Accounts on <strong>the</strong> College’s<br />
Cran<strong>for</strong>d, Elizabeth, or Plainfield campus, call (908) 709-7063 or<br />
e-mail StudentAccountsOffice@ucc.edu <strong>for</strong> more in<strong>for</strong>mation. For<br />
privacy reasons, please use you Owlsnes email account.<br />
PAYMENT POLICIES<br />
As part of <strong>the</strong> registration process, all students should s<strong>to</strong>p at <strong>the</strong><br />
Office of Student Accounts <strong>to</strong> settle <strong>the</strong>ir account. Students who do<br />
not settle <strong>the</strong>ir accounts by <strong>the</strong> posted due date <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> semester will<br />
have <strong>the</strong>ir <strong>schedule</strong>s voided.<br />
Payment/Drop Procedures:<br />
Payment (or financial aid) is due by <strong>the</strong> posted due date <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
semester. If your unpaid balance exceeds $100, your entire<br />
<strong>schedule</strong> may be voided - not just <strong>the</strong> most recent transaction.<br />
However, do not expect this policy <strong>to</strong> absolve you of financial liability.<br />
When you register <strong>for</strong> classes you are agreeing <strong>to</strong> purchase a seat<br />
in each class you select, and you are responsible <strong>for</strong> payment of <strong>the</strong><br />
tuition and fee charges. Should you choose not <strong>to</strong> begin <strong>the</strong> classes<br />
<strong>for</strong> which you have registered, you must officially drop those classes<br />
according <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> published deadlines <strong>to</strong> avoid being charged. Failure<br />
<strong>to</strong> attend a class does not constitute an official dro, and you will be<br />
held responsible <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> associated charges.<br />
You can view your account balances online in Owl’s Nest at anytime<br />
by going <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Financial In<strong>for</strong>mtion link in <strong>the</strong> WebServices<br />
section of Owl’s Nest.<br />
You can check your <strong>schedule</strong> online in Owl’s Nest at anytime by<br />
going <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Registration link in <strong>the</strong> WebServices section of Owl’s<br />
Nest.<br />
Payment Options:<br />
The College accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover in addition <strong>to</strong><br />
cash, checks, and money orders. The appropriate college <strong>for</strong>ms<br />
should accompany payment.<br />
• Payment of a prior semester balance must be in cash, certified<br />
check, money order, or credit card.<br />
•All checks and money orders should include <strong>the</strong> student’s College<br />
Identification Number (not <strong>the</strong> social security number) on <strong>the</strong> face of<br />
<strong>the</strong> document.<br />
•Eligible students can make credit card payments over <strong>the</strong> web by<br />
using <strong>the</strong> “Pay on My Account” screen on <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College’s<br />
Web Services.<br />
• For credit card payments, where <strong>the</strong> cardholder is someone o<strong>the</strong>r<br />
than <strong>the</strong> student, a written statement must be provided by <strong>the</strong> cardholder<br />
authorizing student use of <strong>the</strong> card <strong>for</strong> payment <strong>to</strong> <strong>Union</strong><br />
<strong>County</strong> College.<br />
• The College offers a Deferred Payment Plan <strong>to</strong> qualified students<br />
enrolled in six or more credits during Fall and <strong>Spring</strong> semesters.<br />
Deferred payments are not available <strong>for</strong> Winter and Summer sessions.<br />
•Students who have estimated financial aid awards on <strong>the</strong>ir account<br />
at <strong>the</strong> time of registration may be able <strong>to</strong> apply such aid <strong>to</strong>wards<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir charges. If financial aid does not cover all charges <strong>the</strong> remaining<br />
balance is due from <strong>the</strong> student. In addition, students will be<br />
responsible <strong>for</strong> making payment <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> College in <strong>the</strong> event that any<br />
Financial Aid award is revised or cancelled.<br />
• The College reserves <strong>the</strong> right <strong>to</strong> require payment in cash when<br />
circumstances so warrant.<br />

<strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> Residents - rate per credit hour 109.00<br />
A 12-month residency in New Jersey and current residency in<br />
<strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> are required <strong>to</strong> qualify <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> In-county rate. Visa<br />
students who live in <strong>the</strong> county qualify <strong>for</strong> In-county rates. Visa students<br />
who live out of <strong>the</strong> county may apply <strong>for</strong> a special waiver.<br />
Out of <strong>County</strong> Residents - rate per credit hour 218.00<br />
Senior Citizens<br />
A 12-month residency in New Jersey and 65 years of age or over<br />
are required <strong>to</strong> qualify <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> Senior Citizen rate.<br />
