TRANSFER ARTICULATION<br />

A vital part of <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College’s mission is <strong>to</strong> transfer its graduates<br />

with junior year status <strong>to</strong> four-year colleges and universities<br />

throughout <strong>the</strong> United States and abroad. Over <strong>the</strong> years, <strong>the</strong><br />

College has compiled an enviable record in carrying out this goal,<br />

as graduates have transferred <strong>to</strong> more than 500 colleges and universities<br />

throughout <strong>the</strong> world. Articulation agreements are designed <strong>to</strong><br />

DUAL ADMISSIONS<br />

UNION COUNTY COLLEGE HAS UNIQUE DUAL ADMISSIONS<br />

AGREEMENTS WITH THE FOLLOWING UNIVERSITIES:<br />

RUTGERS - THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF NJ<br />

The Rutgers University Dual Degree Program (DDP) provides New<br />

Jersey high school graduates with an opportunity <strong>to</strong> earn a baccalaureate<br />

degree at Rutgers University by first earning an associate’s<br />

degree at <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College. Application must be made <strong>to</strong><br />

Rutgers University. Once admitted, students follow a Recommended<br />

Transfer Program (RTP). To determine <strong>the</strong> equivalency between<br />

<strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College <strong>course</strong>s and Rutgers <strong>course</strong>s visit<br />

www.njtransfer.org. Successful completion of an Associates Degree<br />

at <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College should be guaranteed admission <strong>to</strong> Rutgers<br />

as a third year student, provided that an overall cumulative grade<br />

point average of at least 3.00 has been achieved in <strong>the</strong> RTP.<br />

<strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College students who enroll in <strong>the</strong> Dual/Joint<br />

Admissions Program with <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College and Rutgers<br />

University should be guaranteed admission as juniors provided <strong>the</strong>y<br />

have completed an Associates Degree and fulfilled <strong>the</strong> necessary criteria.<br />

COLLEGE OF ST. ELIZABETH<br />

The College of St. Elizabeth will reserve a place <strong>for</strong> <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong><br />

College students enrolled in <strong>the</strong> joint admissions program <strong>for</strong> a<br />

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or <strong>the</strong> Bachelor of<br />

Arts in Justice Studies. The student will be enrolled in a parallel<br />

program, and will be accepted with full junior standing. The student<br />

must complete <strong>the</strong> Associates Degree under which <strong>the</strong>y were<br />

accepted at <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College and fulfill <strong>the</strong> criteria of <strong>the</strong> joint<br />

admissions program.<br />

NEW JERSEY INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (NJIT)<br />

<strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College students who enroll in <strong>the</strong> joint admissions<br />

program between <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College and NJIT should be guaranteed<br />

admission as juniors in<strong>to</strong> a parallel program at NJIT<br />

(Management, Architecture, Computer Science, Chemical<br />

Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical<br />

Engineering, Engineering Science, Industrial Engineering,<br />

Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology,<br />

Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering<br />

Technology) provided <strong>the</strong>y have completed an Associates Degree<br />

and fulfill all <strong>the</strong> necessary criteria of <strong>the</strong> dual admissions program.<br />

MONTCLAIR STATE UNIVERSITY<br />

<strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College students who enroll in <strong>the</strong> joint admissions<br />

program with <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College and Montclair State University<br />

should be guaranteed admissions as juniors provided <strong>the</strong>y have<br />

completed an Associates Degree and fulfill all <strong>the</strong> necessary criteria<br />

of <strong>the</strong> dual admissions program.<br />

NEW JERSEY CITY UNIVERSITY<br />

<strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College students who enroll in <strong>the</strong> joint admissions<br />

program with <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College and New Jersey City University<br />

should be guaranteed admissions as juniors provided <strong>the</strong>y have<br />

completed an Associates Degree and fulfill all <strong>the</strong> necessary criteria<br />

of <strong>the</strong> dual admissions program.<br />

KEAN UNIVERSITY<br />

<strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College students who enroll in <strong>the</strong> joint admissions<br />

program with <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College and Kean University should be<br />

guaranteed admission as a junior provided <strong>the</strong>y have completed an<br />

Associates Degree and fulfill all <strong>the</strong> necessary criteria of <strong>the</strong> joint<br />

admissions program.<br />

FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON UNIVERSITY<br />

<strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College students who enroll in <strong>the</strong> joint admissions<br />

program with <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College and Fairleigh Dickinson<br />
