TUITION & FEES<br />
Additionally, students who are on a Deferred Payment Plan will not<br />
be eligible <strong>for</strong> future Plan participation.<br />
• Student Schedule Reinstatement Fee –Assessed <strong>to</strong> all students<br />
who seek <strong>to</strong> have <strong>the</strong>ir <strong>schedule</strong>s reinstated after <strong>the</strong> official college<br />
withdrawal date. Students must provide <strong>the</strong> appropriate documentation<br />
<strong>for</strong> re-admittance required by <strong>the</strong> Registrar and must pay all<br />
tuition, fees, and related costs <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> semester in addition <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
Schedule Reinstatement Fee.<br />
Registration Fee<br />
A Non-refundable fee is charged each semester upon registration.<br />
Students who drop all of <strong>the</strong>ir <strong>course</strong>s, or are voided from all <strong>course</strong>s<br />
<strong>for</strong> non-payment will be charged an additional registration fee if<br />
<strong>the</strong>y re-register.<br />
Registration Fee For International Students<br />
A fee will be assessed <strong>to</strong> International students seeking <strong>to</strong> obtain an<br />
INS Form I-20 Certificate of Eligibility <strong>for</strong> Non-Immigrant (F1)<br />
Student Status from <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College. This is a non-refundable<br />
registration fee but will be applied <strong>to</strong>ward <strong>the</strong> first semester tuition<br />
upon successfully obtaining <strong>the</strong> INS Form I-20.<br />
Security Enhancement Fee<br />
This is charged per credit hour <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> expansion and improvement<br />
of security and emergency communication systems at all College<br />
campuses<br />
Senior Citizens Waiver<br />
• New Jersey residents 65 years of age or older, may enroll at <strong>Union</strong><br />
<strong>County</strong> College without <strong>the</strong> payment of any tuition charges in regularly<br />
<strong>schedule</strong>d <strong>course</strong>s provided that classroom space is available.<br />
•At time of registration, senior citizens are responsible <strong>for</strong> paying a<br />
senior citizen processing fee and an annual parking fee, if a parking<br />
permit is purchased.<br />
• Students may register on <strong>the</strong> last day of <strong>the</strong> Add/Drop period <strong>for</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> semester. Students who register prior <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> designated date CAN<br />
NOT apply <strong>the</strong> Senior Citizens Waiver <strong>to</strong>wards <strong>the</strong> cost of such<br />
<strong>course</strong>s.<br />
Trade Act Program<br />
• Attendance at <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College under <strong>the</strong> Trade Act Program<br />
requires that <strong>the</strong> student present at time of registration a Letter of<br />
Introduction and Enrollment Agreement from <strong>the</strong> State of New Jersey<br />
Department of Labor.<br />
• In addition, a completed contract (NAFTA-7 (R-9-96)) must be on<br />
file in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> College Grants Department.<br />
• Students participating in this program may register at any time. The<br />
program may cover tuition and selected fees.<br />
• Students will be allowed <strong>to</strong> register on a space available basis on<br />
<strong>the</strong> last day of <strong>the</strong> Add/Drop period <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> session/semester.<br />
Students who register prior <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> designated date CAN NOT APPLY<br />
<strong>the</strong> Unemployment Waiver <strong>to</strong>wards <strong>the</strong> cost of such <strong>course</strong>s.<br />
•Waiver program is available <strong>to</strong> <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> residents. NJ residents<br />
who live outside of <strong>Union</strong> <strong>County</strong> may use <strong>the</strong> waiver only if<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir home county community college does not offer <strong>the</strong> <strong>course</strong>s<br />
<strong>the</strong>y are taking. Documentation from <strong>the</strong> home college must be<br />
provided at time of registration.<br />
Volunteer Tuition Waiver Program (Chapter 145)<br />
• This program covers <strong>the</strong> cost of Tuition only and is available <strong>for</strong><br />
active members of a volunteer Fire Company or Rescue Squad and<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir dependent children and spouse. Individuals will receive a<br />
tuition credit, not <strong>to</strong> exceed a maximum amount over a 4-year<br />
period per family.<br />
• The student is responsible <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> payment of all o<strong>the</strong>r costs at time<br />
of registration.<br />
• The Volunteer Tuition Waiver Program requires that <strong>the</strong> student<br />
provide verification of service per<strong>for</strong>med such as a completed<br />
Municipal Certification <strong>for</strong> Active Members of volunteer Fire<br />
Company, First Aid or Rescue Squad.<br />
• Students desiring <strong>to</strong> utilize <strong>the</strong> Chapter 145 Waiver shall complete<br />
<strong>the</strong> appropriate application <strong>for</strong> Financial Aid and, if eligible, such<br />
aid must be exhausted be<strong>for</strong>e applying <strong>the</strong> Chapter 145 waiver.<br />
• Students will be allowed <strong>to</strong> register <strong>for</strong> classes on a space available<br />
basis on <strong>the</strong> last day of <strong>the</strong> Add/Drop period <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> session/<br />
semester.<br />
• Students who register <strong>for</strong> <strong>course</strong>s prior <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> designated date CAN<br />
NOT APPLY <strong>the</strong> Chapter 145 waiver <strong>to</strong>wards <strong>the</strong> cost of such <strong>course</strong>s.<br />
Work<strong>for</strong>ce NJ Development Program<br />
• Students utilizing this program should plan on registering well in<br />
advance of <strong>the</strong> start of <strong>the</strong> semester <strong>to</strong> insure that <strong>the</strong>ir contract is in<br />
place.<br />
• Students must have <strong>the</strong> appropriate <strong>for</strong>ms and a fully executed<br />
contract at time of registration.<br />
• The program may cover Tuition and selected Fees. The cost <strong>to</strong><br />
complete <strong>the</strong> program of study may not be fully covered and students<br />
should be aware of program limitations.<br />
Transcript Fee<br />
There is a fee <strong>for</strong> each official transcript copy. Transcripts will not be<br />
released <strong>for</strong> students who have an outstanding balance.<br />
Unemployment Waivers<br />
• The Unemployment Waiver covers tuition as well as general, technology,<br />
athletic/ wellness and academic learning center support fees.<br />
Students are responsible <strong>for</strong> payment of all o<strong>the</strong>r costs at time of registration.<br />
• Students desiring <strong>to</strong> utilize <strong>the</strong> Unemployment Waiver are<br />
required <strong>to</strong> complete <strong>the</strong> appropriate application <strong>for</strong> Financial Aid.<br />

Students who are eligible <strong>for</strong> aid must exhaust all such aid prior <strong>to</strong><br />
utilizing an Unemployment Waiver.<br />
• All students must submit <strong>the</strong> appropriate <strong>for</strong>ms at <strong>the</strong> time of registration<br />
including verification that <strong>the</strong>y have filed <strong>for</strong> Financial Aid.<br />
• Financial aid will first be applied against tuition and waived fees.<br />
Remaining aid, if any, will be applied against <strong>the</strong> fees that are <strong>the</strong><br />
responsibility of <strong>the</strong> student.<br />
