when the teeth become accustomed<br />
to new angles<br />
the old zoning codes abandoned<br />
wedging against another<br />
like tenement apartments<br />
creating new alleys<br />
to entrap stray spinach<br />
the latest in dentifrice art<br />
abstract, oblique, strictly avant-garde<br />
a dentist’s wet dream<br />
gives character<br />
uniqueness <strong>of</strong> smile<br />
pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> stripes earned on the play fi eld<br />
bemoaned only in old age<br />
when, over pipe & checkers,<br />
the fat must be chewed<br />
at the side<br />
and then<br />
