1 New Features <strong>for</strong> <strong>Bria</strong> <strong>3.2</strong><br />
In general, this release of <strong>Bria</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Linux</strong> brings the feature set into line with <strong>Bria</strong> <strong>for</strong> Windows. Specifically:<br />
The ability to create XMPP accounts.<br />
The ability to send IM and share presence via SIP SIMPLE or XMPP.<br />
Support <strong>for</strong> group chat over XMPP, assuming that the XMPP server supports this feature.<br />
The ability to import or export the contact list to a file.<br />
A Troubleshooting wizard to help solve problems with <strong>Bria</strong>.<br />
In addition, this release of <strong>Bria</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Linux</strong> is intended <strong>for</strong> Ubuntu <strong>Linux</strong> <strong>version</strong> 12.04, which is the current LTS<br />
(long-term-support) <strong>version</strong> of Ubuntu.<br />
2 Software and Hardware Requirements<br />

Ubuntu® Desktop , <strong>version</strong> 12.04 or 12.10, 32-bit or 64-bit.<br />
1 Ghz processor or faster.<br />
256 MB RAM.<br />
20 MB free disk space on your hard drive.<br />
Microphone and speakers or headset. Headsets with built-in AEC are recommended. The following headsets<br />
were tested are known to work with the client:<br />
GN Netcom 8120 USB<br />
Plantronics® CS50-USB Wireless Office Headset System<br />
Plantronics® .Audio 400 DSP Foldable PC Headset<br />
VOIPvoice® CyberPhone-K V652skMLR<br />
Yealink USB-P1K VoIP phone<br />
Internet connection – broadband is best (GPRS is not supported <strong>for</strong> voice calls).<br />
3 Known Issues<br />
If you repeatedly minimize <strong>Bria</strong>, the main menu disappear. The workaround is to restart <strong>Bria</strong>. [82056]<br />
Button actions will not work with any of the supported headset devices.<br />
The Polycom Communicator C100 is not supported because the AEC setting in the device driver does not<br />
reduce echo enough.<br />
Changing the Network Connection Speed to Dial-up or Custom will result in all codecs becoming disabled<br />
after a restart. You will have to re-select codecs. [34220]<br />
