LOOKING FOR 15
• The 2007 Kentucky Wildcats will look to continue
one of the longest streaks in SEC history.
Since the SEC began sponsoring soccer in
1993, the Wildcats have been a part of the
league’s postseason tournament all fourteen
years.
FRESHMEN PHENOMS
• Last season it was rookie Giuleana Lopez that
was the torch bearer for the UK offense, finishing
the season as the team leader in goals and
points and being named a freshman All-American.
This season its freshmen Alicia Browning
and Laura Novikoff leading the UK offense.
Both currently lead the team with four goals
each as well as game-winning goals with two.

KENTUCKY BULLDOGS
• The Bulldogs have one member of their team
that hails from the state of Kentucky. Junior
Anna Goblirsch went to Mississippi St. from
Elizabethtown, Kentucky where she attended
Elizabethtown High School.
SHUTOUT
• History shows that when the Wildcats post a
victory over the Bulldogs, they do so with a
smothering defense. Of Kentucky’s six wins
over the ‘Dawgs, five have come via the
shutout.
RANKED OPPONENTS
• Last weekend’s matchup against 24th ranked
LSU marked the fifth of six straight opponents
that Kentucky faced that was ranked in the Top
25. The Wildcats faced then No. 20 South
Carolina and then No. 25 Florida. The following
weekend, the Cats hosted No. 14 Tennessee
and No. 18 Georgia. Kentucky is 0-4-3 against
opponents ranked in the Top 25 this season.

• The Wildcats and the Rebels have met five
times in SEC Tournament play (UK leads 4-1)
making Ole Miss UK’s most common opponent
in SEC Tournament play.
FEAST OR FAMINE
• In the last five match-ups between the Rebels
and the Wildcats it has either been an offensive
blowout or a defensive struggle, no in between.
In 2004, the teams combined for six goals
(OM 5, UK 1) followed by a one-goal affair in
2005 (OM 1, UK 0). A five goal match followed
in the 2005 SEC Tournament (UK 3,
OM 2). The two teams played to a 0-0 tie in
the 2006 regular season and then combined for
five goals (UK 3, OM 2) in the 2006 SEC
Tournament.
SENIOR DAY
• The Wildcats are 8-5-2 all-time on Senior Day
including a 1-0 victory over Vanderbilt. Kentucky
has faced Ole Miss only once on Senior
Day, dropping a 1-0 affair to the Rebels in
2005.
