LOOKING FOR 15<br />

• The 2007 <strong>Kentucky</strong> Wildcats will look to continue<br />

one <strong>of</strong> the longest streaks in SEC history.<br />

Since the SEC began sponsoring soccer in<br />

1993, the Wildcats have been a part <strong>of</strong> the<br />

league’s postseason tournament all fourteen<br />

years.<br />

FRESHMEN PHENOMS<br />

• Last season it was rookie Giuleana Lopez that<br />

was the torch bearer for the UK <strong>of</strong>fense, finishing<br />

the season as the team leader in goals and<br />

points and being named a freshman All-American.<br />

This season its freshmen Alicia Browning<br />

and Laura Novik<strong>of</strong>f leading the UK <strong>of</strong>fense.<br />

Both currently lead the team with four goals<br />

each as well as game-winning goals with two.<br />

<strong>KENTUCKY</strong> BULLDOGS<br />

• The Bulldogs have one member <strong>of</strong> their team<br />

that hails from the state <strong>of</strong> <strong>Kentucky</strong>. Junior<br />

Anna Goblirsch went to Mississippi St. from<br />

Elizabethtown, <strong>Kentucky</strong> where she attended<br />

Elizabethtown High School.<br />

SHUTOUT<br />

• History shows that when the Wildcats post a<br />

victory over the Bulldogs, they do so with a<br />

smothering defense. Of <strong>Kentucky</strong>’s six wins<br />

over the ‘Dawgs, five have come via the<br />

shutout.<br />

RANKED OPPONENTS<br />

• Last weekend’s matchup against 24th ranked<br />

LSU marked the fifth <strong>of</strong> six straight opponents<br />

that <strong>Kentucky</strong> faced that was ranked in the Top<br />

25. The Wildcats faced then No. 20 South<br />

Carolina and then No. 25 Florida. The following<br />

weekend, the Cats hosted No. 14 Tennessee<br />

and No. 18 Georgia. <strong>Kentucky</strong> is 0-4-3 against<br />

opponents ranked in the Top 25 this season.<br />

making Ole Miss UK’s most common opponent<br />

in SEC Tournament play.<br />

FEAST OR FAMINE<br />

• In the last five match-ups between the Rebels<br />

and the Wildcats it has either been an <strong>of</strong>fensive<br />

blowout or a defensive struggle, no in between.<br />

In 2004, the teams combined for six goals<br />

(OM 5, UK 1) followed by a one-goal affair in<br />

2005 (OM 1, UK 0). A five goal match followed<br />

in the 2005 SEC Tournament (UK 3,<br />

OM 2). The two teams played to a 0-0 tie in<br />

the 2006 regular season and then combined for<br />

five goals (UK 3, OM 2) in the 2006 SEC<br />

Tournament.<br />

SENIOR DAY<br />

• The Wildcats are 8-5-2 all-time on Senior Day<br />

including a 1-0 victory over Vanderbilt. <strong>Kentucky</strong><br />

has faced Ole Miss only once on Senior<br />

Day, dropping a 1-0 affair to the Rebels in<br />
