NEDSS Phase II, Deliverables 1 and 2 VI. Supporting Process Plans Configuration Management See attached Configuration Plan outline (Appendix A) Verification and Validation The project will be managed by daily communications between the two project managers, and weekly status meetings with the active project team members. This weekly status information will be used to update the project plan with “% complete” and “actual end dates” at the task level. This updated project plan will then be distributed to the key project stakeholders. Documentation The communication plan will outline the documents used throughout the project management process, such as: project status, project issues/concerns, communication protocols, etc., who is responsible for each and how they will be distributed. Quality Assurance See attached Quality Assurance Plan outline (Appendix B). Reviews and Audits Project reviews and audits will be performed on a weekly basis up to the Implementation phase, where the frequency may change to daily depending on the number of critical activities scheduled. Problem Resolution The problem resolution process and protocol will be outlined in the Communication Plan and be determined by both project managers. Subcontractor Management This plan will be defined by BOH / Disease Control Sponsor and Project Manager prior to project start. Migration and Training Plans Migration Plan The Migration Plan describes the strategies involved in converting data from the existing systems (NETSS and TIMS) to the NEDSS Base system. It is appropriate to reexamine the original system's functional requirements for the condition of the system before conversion to determine if the original requirements are still valid. Some of the major tasks in a Migration Plan are as follows: • System Overview • System Conversion Overview • Conversion Description • Type of Conversion • Conversion Strategy o Data Conversion Strategy o Data Conversion Approach o Interfaces o Data Quality Assurance and Control • Conversion Risk Factors • Conversion Tasks o Conversion Planning o Preconversion Tasks o Major Tasks and Procedures • Conversion Schedule Training Plan The Training Plan outlines the objectives, needs, strategy, and curriculum to be addressed when training users on the new or enhanced information system. The plan presents the activities needed to support the development of training materials, coordination of training schedules, reservation of personnel and facilities, planning for training needs, and other training-related tasks.
