Enhance Frequency Accuracy with Built-in GPS<br />
GPS (Option 31)<br />
The GPS option is used to confirm and save the exact measurement, location (longitude, latitude), date and time for each<br />
measurement. This option also comes with a magnet mount antenna with a 5m (15 foot) cable, for convenient use on a car<br />
roof or other surfaces.<br />

The MT8222A can easily enhance the<br />
frequency reference oscillator accuracy to<br />
make precise frequency error measurements.<br />

The GPS Option 31 also enhances the frequency accuracy of the MT8222A’s<br />
internal OCXO oscillator. Within three minutes of GPS satellite acquisition,<br />
the built-in GPS receiver provides a frequency accuracy to better than 25 ppb<br />
(parts per billion). After disconnection of the GPS antenna, the instrument<br />
will remain in High-Accuracy mode for three days, preserving frequency<br />
accuracy to better than 50 ppb.<br />
