DaY 1 – los anGeles to san luis obispo / paso robles<br />

Depart this morning on board an AMTRAK train travelling past orange groves<br />

and the Simi Valley reaching the Pacific Coast at the town of Oxnard. Continue<br />

on past Santa Barbara, Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo and finally arriving into<br />

the green pastures and vineyards to the quintessential California town of Paso<br />

Robles. Overnight in San Luis Obispo or Paso Robles.<br />

DaY 2 – paso robles to MontereY<br />

This morning head by coach back to the coastline and then travel via Highway One<br />

to the famous Hearst Castle where you will enjoy a two hour tour. Enjoy a picnic<br />

lunch and stop for shopping or visit a winery. Return to Paso Robles late afternoon<br />

by coach and then board the train again to travel north via Salinas and finally a<br />

personal taxi will take you to Bay Park Hotel in Monterey. Dinner at the hotel. (L, D).<br />

DaY 3 – MontereY to san francisco<br />

This morning is at leisure, then this afternoon enjoy a tour through Monterey and<br />

the surrounding area including 17 Mile Drive, Pebble Beach and Carmel by the<br />

Sea. Late this afternoon begin your journey towards San Francisco travelling via<br />

the San Andreas fault and Silicon Valley arriving at your hotel at approximately<br />

7.30pm (B).<br />

DaY 1 – san francisco to MontereY<br />

Depart San Francisco and travel south along the San Andreas fault and then<br />

down the Pacific Coast via Santa Cruz to Monterey. Stops are made en route<br />

today at Cannery Row, 17 Mile Drive, Pebble Beach and Carmel By the sea.<br />

Overnight in Monterey. (B,D).<br />

DaY 2 – MontereY to paso robles<br />

Transfer at mid morning to the Amtrak Station and board the Coast Starlight<br />

train just before lunch. Head south through the Salinas Valley arriving into Paso<br />

Robles early afternoon. You will be met by the Wine Wrangler Tour Company for<br />

an introduction to this quintessential small town with its many wineries. Overnight<br />

Paso Robles.<br />

DaY 3 – paso robles to los anGeles<br />

This morning the Wine Wrangler takes you 45 minutes west to the coast and<br />

then on to Highway one. Enjoy a two hour visit to Hearst Castle, followed by a<br />

picnic lunch before continuing on to San Luis Obispo. This afternoon you will<br />

once again join the Coast Starlight AMTRAK train bound for Los Angeles, arriving<br />

into Union station at approximately 9pm where your tour ends. (L).<br />

California’s national treasure, Yosemite National Park, is almost 1200 square<br />

miles in area. Embracing a spectacular tract of mountain and valley scenery in<br />

the Sierra Nevada, it was set aside as a national park in 1890. The park harbours<br />

a grand collection of waterfalls, meadows, and forests that include groves of<br />

giant sequoias, the world’s largest living things. Yosemite valley, which is only 7<br />

miles long, up to a mile high, and a mile wide is the destination for most visitors.<br />

From Ansel Adams gallery to Bridal Veil Falls, bicycle rentals to trail rides, there<br />

are no shortage of activities available to you!<br />
