Fellow Patriots, the Department
Convention held June 11-12, in Fort
Worth is over and my thanks go to
Commander Hernandez, JVC Richard
Whitehead and the Patriots and Ladies
of Chapter / Unit 1849 for having
done a wonderful job as Convention
Host. Also, thanks to Past National
Commander Jim Randles for the
advice he gave our membership, and
to National Junior Vice Commander,
Bill Hutton for his encouraging words
about VAVS Funds and how they are
distributed. Our featured speaker was
Chapter 1836’s Iraq wounded retired
Army Captain, Anna King, with an
inspirational message that I wish all
Patriots and Ladies could have heard.
I want to thank all the Patriots of the
Department of Texas for your support
during my ―Tour of Duty,‖ I will
continue being active with the Order
and if there is anything I can help
with feel free to call on me.

To Past Department Commander,
Raul Campbell, I want to say ―Thank
You‖ for your leadership in making
the 2009-2010 term a very impressive
year for the Department of Texas.
You, along with your staff started a
new Chapter in Kingsville and got the
ball rolling for a new Chapter in
Kerrville. I will be working with past
Commander Campbell to finish what
he began.
Again, I am looking forward to
working with each and everyone.

and completed 990 forms. If you should

our Units any information they may need
to get their EIN # and help to complete
their 990 form.
