commitments and doing the right thing are key to self respect.
In this life, you are measured by results, not effort. You can endeavor to
send someone a package, but if it doesn't arrive, you are responsible to
make it right. If you do not like those rules, insure the package or don't sell
or trade.
I have been to Brooklyn, have you CigarKid? There are good parts and bad
just like Chicago. Only difference is, I would feel safer walking the streets of
Brooklyn. By calling Paulies home a shithole, you are being petty.
You are the only one that can make good on this deal. If any of the rest of us
tried to send him something to cover your commitment, Paulie would
probably send a return package that was of greater value than he received.
Then we would send something else and the whole thing would just be
insane.
Paulie has done more for others in the cigar community than you deserve to
know.
Sounds to me like someone owes someone.
What would be interesting to see is cboys play by play (in honesty) of the
transaction since it started. Bitching back and forth about "making it good"
makes no sense to me. If cboy is/was such an outstanding cigar person, why
did the "making good" need to take place.
BCL is a highly respected individual with quite a bit of history on many
boards and many shops. To try and lower his street cred would be a waste
of your time and nothing but entertainment for the masses.
And I wouldn't start slinging shit about cities "cboy". Youre not hard to find if
you piss off the wrong person too much. I'm not threatening you, just trying
to advise you on what you say and to whom. There's a lot of eyes on this
site.
