<strong>The</strong> 52 nd General Council meeting of the 55th Elected Council of the <strong>Six</strong> <strong>Nations</strong> of the <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>River</strong><br />

Territory was held on the above noted date held in the Council Chambers of the Administration<br />

Building, Ohsweken, Ontario, with Chief William K. Montour presiding.<br />

Councillor Robert Johnson opened the meeting with a prayer in honor of Mothers Day<br />

a. PERMISSION TO SOLICIT: RICHARD SOMMER, LANDMARK CANADA<br />

- Richard Sommer was in attendance to discuss his application<br />

- Wishes to speak to self employed and key personnel about program that offers benefits for<br />

injuries and disabilities<br />

- <strong>The</strong>re is also an employment opportunity for <strong>Six</strong> <strong>Nations</strong> people through this company<br />

- Coverage is good for anywhere in North America; international can be requested after 6<br />

months<br />

- Also have coverage plans for the elderly<br />

- <strong>The</strong>y would do home visits to complete an assessment, if they qualify they are covered<br />

immediately after they pay a 3 month deposit. Company will be in touch with doctors and<br />

medical records over the next 4-6 weeks, if they qualify they have 10 days to turn down with<br />

100% of the deposit back<br />

approves Richard Sommer’s application for Permission to Solicit on the <strong>Six</strong> <strong>Nations</strong> Territory for<br />

Landmark Canada for the purpose of soliciting life insurance, disability insurance and personal<br />

compensation to the self-employed and key personnel for a one year period commencing <strong>May</strong> <strong>15</strong>, <strong>2012</strong>.<br />

British Columbia with the Oliver M. Smith Elementary Students on June 9-16, <strong>2012</strong>.<br />

amendment of resolution GF#12/01/11/2011 to read “<strong>Six</strong> <strong>Nations</strong> Council approve funds up to a<br />

maximum of $33,275 from the Panterra Reserve Fund to complete demolition/removal process to 5005<br />

Highway 6, known as the Fagan Bungalow”<br />

British Columbia, and that Chief Montour be able to adjust his schedule accordingly to attend the<br />

OFNLP Annual General Meeting on June 14, <strong>2012</strong> in Toronto.<br />
