The 52 nd General Council meeting of the 55th Elected Council of the Six Nations of the Grand River
Territory was held on the above noted date held in the Council Chambers of the Administration
Building, Ohsweken, Ontario, with Chief William K. Montour presiding.

Councillor Robert Johnson opened the meeting with a prayer in honor of Mothers Day

(3) DELEGATIONS/PRESENTATIONS
a. PERMISSION TO SOLICIT: RICHARD SOMMER, LANDMARK CANADA
- Richard Sommer was in attendance to discuss his application
- Wishes to speak to self employed and key personnel about program that offers benefits for
injuries and disabilities
- There is also an employment opportunity for Six Nations people through this company
- Coverage is good for anywhere in North America; international can be requested after 6
months
- Also have coverage plans for the elderly
- They would do home visits to complete an assessment, if they qualify they are covered
immediately after they pay a 3 month deposit. Company will be in touch with doctors and
medical records over the next 4-6 weeks, if they qualify they have 10 days to turn down with
100% of the deposit back

approves Richard Sommer’s application for Permission to Solicit on the Six Nations Territory for
Landmark Canada for the purpose of soliciting life insurance, disability insurance and personal
compensation to the self-employed and key personnel for a one year period commencing May 15, 2012.

Councillor Wray Maracle to attend the Cultural Exchange at Squamish First Nations in Vancouver,
British Columbia with the Oliver M. Smith Elementary Students on June 9-16, 2012.

amendment of resolution GF#12/01/11/2011 to read “Six Nations Council approve funds up to a
maximum of $33,275 from the Panterra Reserve Fund to complete demolition/removal process to 5005
Highway 6, known as the Fagan Bungalow”

Chief Montour to attend the World Indigenous Housing Conference on June 11-15, 2012 in Vancouver,
British Columbia, and that Chief Montour be able to adjust his schedule accordingly to attend the
OFNLP Annual General Meeting on June 14, 2012 in Toronto.
