1. over-population,<br />

2. outside temperature too high,<br />

3. honey chamber completely full,<br />

4. some o<strong>the</strong>r form of trouble.<br />

In <strong>the</strong> first three cases, one observes many fanners at<br />

<strong>the</strong> hive entrance whilst in <strong>the</strong> last case <strong>the</strong> hive<br />

entrance is cold and empty.<br />
