RESEARCH PRODUCTS<br />
In addition to improving the teaching, training, skill development and outreach activities, the university faculty is<br />
becoming increasingly proactive in hunting national and international grants on competitive basis to support their<br />
research programs. The research grants won by the faculty have been very effective in supporting postgraduate studies,<br />
expanding laboratory and equipment facilities, sponsor postgraduate students, undergraduate work students and<br />
share some of the recurring expenditures of the university. The data presented here would verify that there has been a<br />
substantial increase in the total funding and number of research projects won by the faculty during the year under<br />
report.<br />
The research and training programs carried out during 2010-11 at UAF has been funded by Higher Education<br />
Commission (HEC), Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), Pakistan Agricultural <strong>Research</strong> Council (PARC)/ Agricultural<br />
Linkages Program (ALP), FDTTPC Endowment Fund, Promotion of <strong>Research</strong> (POR) Fund, Ministry of Science and<br />
Technology (MOST), Govt. of the Punjab, Punjab Agricultural <strong>Research</strong> Board (PARB), International Foundation for<br />
Science (ISF), PAK-US Science & Technology Cooperation Program, Australian Centre for International Agricultural<br />
<strong>Research</strong> (ACAIR), International Livestock <strong>Research</strong> Institute (ILRI), German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), JICA ,<br />
Aus-Aid, USDA Foreign Agriculture Service etc. The enhanced persuasion and facilitation from ORIC and increase in the<br />
number of TTS faculty have led to greater submission and success rate of hunting competitive national and<br />
international research projects. The titles and cost of the on-going projects and summary of the research projects<br />
