Prof. M.R. Jisnuson Svasti was<br />
recently appointed President of the Science<br />
Society of Thailand under the Patronage<br />
of H.M. The King. He is Professor of<br />
Biochemistry at the Faculty of Science,<br />
<strong>Mahidol</strong> <strong>University</strong>, and was formerly<br />
Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies<br />
and Vice President of <strong>Mahidol</strong> <strong>University</strong>.<br />

Royal College of Dental Surgeons of<br />

of the Faculty of Dentistry, <strong>Mahidol</strong><br />

Research Council of Thailand.<br />
At the same time, the National<br />
Research Council of Thailand also gave Dr.<br />
Pongrama Ramasoota and his team from the<br />
Faculty of Tropical Medicine an Inventor of<br />
the Year Award 2008 in the medical sciences<br />
field for his work on ‘Rapid Diagnosis of M.<br />
Tuberculosis and Legionella from Indoor Air<br />
Using Modified Impinger and Polymerase Chain Reaction’.<br />
