Microsoft Certified
Professional (MCP)
The MCP is the initial step to take when beginning
a Microsoft Certification Program. MCP candidates
are required to pass one current Microsoft
Certification exam in the MSCA/MCSE series.
Microsoft Certified System
Administrator (MCSA)
Provides candidates with the skills you need to
manage and troubleshoot network environments
running Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003
platforms. The MCSA is the intermediate step to
the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
To earn your MCSA on Windows Server 2003
certification, you must pass four exams: two core
exams on networking systems, one core exam on
client operating systems and one elective exam.
Microsoft Certified Systems
Engineer (MCSE)
This is the premier certification for professionals
who analyse business requirements, design and
implement infrastructure for business solutions
based on Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows
Server 2003 platforms.. By earning the MCSE
credential, individuals are demonstrating that they
have the skills necessary to lead organisations
in the successful design, implementation and
administration of the most advanced Windows
operating systems and Microsoft 2003 Servers.
MCSE candidates are required to pass five core
exams and two electives.
Microsoft Certified Technology
Specialist (MCTS)
Participation across these certifications enable
professionals to target specific cutting-edge
technologies such as Windows Vista, Server
2008, .NET or SQL Server 2005. Candidates can
gain their MCTS by passing one or two current
Microsoft Certification exams. Multiple MCTS
certifications can lead to the MCITP Certification.
Microsoft Certified IT
Professional (MCITP)
Obtaining this credential validates that an
individual has the comprehensive set of skills
necessary to perform a particular job role,
such as database administrator or enterprise
messaging administrator. MCITP certifications
build on the technical proficiency measured in the
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
certifications. Therefore, you will earn one or more
MCTS certifications on your way to earning an
MCITP credential.
Box Hill Institute is currently offering training
that prepares you for the following MCITP
