Positions Reporting to this Position:<br />
• Nil<br />
Primary Purpose of Position<br />
• To provide support which maintains the efficient and effective operation of the <strong>Volunteer</strong> and <strong>Coach</strong> Education Centre.<br />
• To respond to customer enquiries, take course registrations and assist in the effective delivery of courses and programs.<br />
• To provide administrative support to the planning and implementation of less complex projects under supervision.<br />
• To provide administrative support to other divisional activities as required.<br />
Outcomes<br />
• Professional and informative <strong>Volunteer</strong> and <strong>Coach</strong> Education Centre Courses.<br />
• Effective timely and responsive customer service to clients.<br />
• Effective promotion of the <strong>Volunteer</strong> and <strong>Coach</strong> Education Centre courses.<br />
• Effective administrative support to the Section’s less complex projects.<br />
• Timely and efficient administrative support to the Business Unit.

Desirable Attributes<br />
• Word processing skills of at least 45 words per minute.<br />
• Ability to identify opportunities for change.<br />
• Experience as a word processing operator.<br />
• Advanced knowledge of MS Access.<br />
• Experience in taking minutes<br />

• Ability to assimilate information about the organisation’s<br />
business quickly and communicate it to customers accurately.<br />

Powerpoint and Access)<br />
• Knowledge of the Recreation and Sport industry, in particular<br />
<strong>Coach</strong>ing and Officiating structures.<br />
Key Relationships/Interactions<br />
• Will work closely with, and take day to day direction from, the<br />
<strong>Volunteer</strong> and <strong>Coach</strong> Education Centre Coordinator.<br />
• Will work closely with the public in delivering a customer<br />
responsive service by the <strong>Volunteer</strong> and <strong>Coach</strong> Education<br />
Centre for the Recreation and Sport industry in South Australia.<br />
Key Challenges<br />
• The provision of an administrative support function for the <strong>Volunteer</strong><br />
and <strong>Coach</strong> Education Centre requiring quality correspondence, data<br />
entry, records keeping and filing.<br />
• Implementing and maintaining standards for the operation of the<br />
<strong>Volunteer</strong> and <strong>Coach</strong> Education Centre consistent with it’s pivotal role<br />
in supporting Recreation and Sport infrastructure in the State.
Special Conditions<br />
• The incumbent is expected to work in a manner consistent with the PSM Act and the DPC Code of Conduct.<br />
• The incumbent must be prepared to be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.<br />
• The incumbent is responsible and accountable for keeping accurate and complete records of their business activities in accordance with the<br />
State Records Act 1997.<br />
• The incumbent is responsible and accountable for working in an equitable manner and taking reasonable care to protect his/her own health,<br />
safety and welfare and avoiding adversely affecting the health and safety of others at work by complying with OHS&W and EEO policies,<br />

• A current SA Drivers Licence is essential.<br />
