TUITION, FEES, AND FINANCIAL AID<br />

Graduation $16.25<br />

This fee defrays the cost of graduation<br />

activities and the cost of printing a<br />

student’s diploma or certificate.<br />

Interest Inventories $25.00<br />

A fee will be charged for assessments that<br />

help identify career interests (e.g. the<br />

Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory) and/<br />

or learning and interaction styles (e.g. the<br />

Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator).<br />

International Admission<br />

International students will be charged an<br />

admission application processing fee.<br />

Lab, Art $11.40<br />

Students enrolled in art lab classes are<br />

charged the materials fee to help defray<br />

the cost of consumable supplies and<br />

special materials.<br />

Lab, Computer and Technology $2.75 per<br />

credit (maximum $27.50 per quarter)<br />

This fee is charged in addition to tuition<br />

for classes that place a high demand on<br />

computer and/or technology resources.<br />

Lab, Human Anatomy $38.95<br />

Students enrolled in human anatomy lab<br />

classes are charged the materials fee to<br />

help defray the cost of consumable<br />

supplies and special materials.<br />

Lab, Human Physiology $38.95<br />

Students enrolled in human physiology<br />

lab classes are charged the materials fee to<br />

help defray the cost of consumable<br />

supplies and special materials.<br />

Lab, Intensive Computer and Technology<br />

$4.50 per credit (maximum $45.00 per<br />

quarter)<br />

This fee is charged in addition to tuition<br />

for classes that involve use of advanced<br />

technology or require extraordinary<br />

technical support.<br />

Lab, Microbiology $55.65<br />

Students enrolled in microbiology lab<br />

classes are charged the materials fee to<br />

help defray the cost of consumable<br />

supplies and special materials.<br />

Lab, Phlebotomy $22.85<br />

Students enrolled in phlebotomy lab<br />

classes are charged the materials fee to<br />

help defray the cost of consumable<br />

supplies and special materials.<br />

Lab, Science $22.85<br />

Students enrolled in science lab classes are<br />

charged the materials fee to help defray<br />

the costs of consumable supplies,<br />

breakage, hazardous waste management,<br />

and special materials.<br />

Lab, World Languages $11.10<br />

Students enrolled in courses with more<br />

intensive supply needs are charged the<br />

supply fee to help defray the cost of<br />

consumable supplies and special materials.<br />

Math Supply Fee $21.10<br />

Students enrolled in math classes are<br />

charged the materials fee to help defray<br />

the costs of consumable supplies.<br />

Non-Sufficient Fund Checks $20.00 per<br />

check<br />

Students will be charged this fine when<br />

they submit a check for payment and there<br />

are insufficient funds in their account to<br />

cover the check.<br />

Parking<br />

Over 1,800 parking spaces are available on<br />

campus. Pay stations are located in all<br />

parking areas for “per visit” payment.<br />

Parking is enforced 24/7. Students and<br />

staff may purchase quarterly permits from<br />

the Kodiak Corner for parking available<br />

on campus. Employees who are eligible for<br />

payroll deduction should contact Human<br />

Resources. Parking Citation fines range<br />

from $20.00 to $100.00 depending on the<br />

violation.<br />

Placement Assessment (Compass) $16.25<br />

A fee will be charged for placement<br />

assessment in English and/or<br />

mathematics, and for additional<br />

assessments such as career interest<br />

inventories, learning style profiles, etc.<br />

Printing, Above Standard Allocation $10.00<br />

Each student receives a standard printing<br />

allocation of 600 black-and-white and 30<br />

color pages. If you use up your allocation,<br />

you can buy an additional unit of 300<br />

black-and-white and 30 color pages.<br />

Proctoring Services, Non-Student $40.00<br />

per test up to 2 hours<br />

This fee will be charged to cover<br />

administrative and proctoring services for<br />

non-<strong>Cascadia</strong> classes.<br />

Proctoring Services, WAOL $16.25 per<br />

test up to 2 hours<br />

This fee will be assessed to cover the cost<br />

of proctoring examinations taken by<br />

WAOL students.<br />

Supply Fee, Miscellaneous Intensive<br />

$21.10<br />

Students enrolled in courses with more<br />

intensive supply needs are charged the<br />

supply fee to help defray the cost of<br />

consumable supplies and special materials.<br />

Student Identification Card Replacement<br />

$10.80<br />

This fee is charged for replacing a lost or<br />

stolen Student Identification Card.<br />

Technology Fee $4.00 per credit,<br />

(minimum $10, maximum $40 per quarter)<br />

The student body voted to assess this fee<br />

to provide email accounts, discounted<br />

Microsoft software, network storage, and<br />

regularly updated hardware and software.<br />

Transcript $3.20<br />

This fee is for official student transcripts.<br />

An official request takes at least 2 business<br />

days to process. All parking fines, library<br />

fines, and outstanding balances must be<br />

cleared before official transcripts can be<br />

released.<br />

Tuition and Fee<br />

Waivers<br />

For state-supported classes, <strong>Cascadia</strong><br />

currently offers tuition and fee waivers for<br />

the groups listed below:<br />

General Waivers<br />

Adult Basic Skills, ESL<br />

Need-based waivers are available to cover<br />

the $25 per quarter tuition fee.<br />

Veterans’ Waivers<br />

1. Eligible Veterans/National Guard as<br />

defined by statute; children/spouse of<br />

eligible Veterans or National Guard<br />

Members that became totally disabled<br />

or are determined to be a POW/MIA;<br />

children/spouse of eligible Veterans or<br />

National Guard Members who lost<br />

their life while on active federal or<br />

naval service.<br />

2. Other not qualified as “eligible”<br />

(military or naval veteran who is a<br />

Washington domiciliary and did not<br />

serve or support those serving on<br />

foreign soil or in international waters).<br />
