SCHOOL BULLETIN
For Friday, February 11, 2011
FOR STAFF MEMBERS/TEACHERS:
CAREER DAY (For Teachers): If your students have not filled out a Career Day survey, please make sure that they see Mrs. Galvez in the
Counseling Office ASAP. Thank you.
Missing Dowels for Butcher Paper Dispenser: To teachers, staff and students that may have taken butcher paper, Business Office is
missing THREE (3) dowels/sticks that were holding up two rolls of butcher paper. We need those back to refill our dispenser. If we do not
get them back, we will have to resort to dispensing the butcher paper by business office staff only—no longer will it be made available
outside our office. PLEASE bring back our dowels! Thank you!
Maintenance Requests: Please make sure you are filling out the In-House Maintenance Work Request Form available in the main office if
your room is not being cleaned. We are trying to ensure that JJ Janitorial is meeting our needs and we need your assistance in monitoring
their progress. As for maintenance issues such as A/C, carpentry, electrical, or plumbing problems, you need only to report it once and then
just ask Mrs. Cabrera for updates on your report. You do not need to keep submitting a Work Request Form for the problem if you have
already submitted it once. For janitorial issues, please submit MORE than once as the problem occurs, daily if necessary. Thank you for
your assistance and support!
MISSING: HELP...some time during the Christmas break the ice chest belonging to the Go Green! Club went missing. If you borrowed it
please return the ice chest to me, Mr. Kamiaz. We need the chest for our fundraisers. The money we raise goes to helping the horticulture
classes taught. The ice chest is bluish-grey with a white top and a handle to pull the rolling chest.
Truancy Referrals: Our grade level assistant principals are trying to crack down on truancy problems, and we need your help! Please
check the attendance of your students and fill out an attendance referral for any student that has 3 or more unexcused absences at any time.
Hall Passes: Please ensure your students are given HALL PASSES for lunch activities taking place in the main building and if they need to
leave the classroom during class time. Information needed on the pass is the student’s name, date, time, where they are coming from, where
they are going, and your name and signature. Your assistance in ensuring this is done will help us identify students that are skipping while
we do our ―sweeps‖ of the hallways. Reminder: One student per hall pass AT ALL TIMES!
Yearbook Pictures: If you did not get a chance to take your photo on November 1, please send in a picture. Please note your name, title
(Teacher, Aide, etc). Email is sanchezyearbook@gmail.com.
Food/Drink Sales: It has been brought to our attention that several clubs/advisors are selling drinks, snacks or food during lunch and
instructional time. Because we are under close scrutiny by the auditors and because of the stipulations in the department’s contract with
King’s, we are asking all clubs/advisors to refrain from selling items in the morning and during instructional time. Items may be sold only
after school after approval has been granted by the Activities Coordinator and Finance Board.
we need displays of students’ work, which will show how captivating our students are. Student bands will need to bring their own extension
cords, amplifiers, instruments, etc. The mall will provide 2 or 3 microphones and a P.A. system (for singing only). Sign up with Mr.
