Construction Junction<br />

Sunday, February 19, Noon – 3 pm<br />

Inspired by <strong>the</strong> DCCA exhibition Under Construction,<br />

participants will construct <strong>the</strong> biggest “building block” tower<br />

ever to be installed at <strong>the</strong> DCCA! Then families will move to<br />

<strong>the</strong> DCCA classroom to create <strong>the</strong>ir own “constructed”<br />

sculptures with a Teaching Artist.<br />

Home, Sweet Home<br />

Sunday, March 18, Noon – 3 pm<br />

What’s better than curling up with a big bowl of ice cream?<br />

Making art out of it! Join <strong>the</strong> DCCA <strong>for</strong> a day of sweet treats<br />

and art making as we explore <strong>the</strong> many artistic uses <strong>for</strong> our<br />

favorite sugary foods.<br />

Tremendous Trash<br />

Sunday, April 22, Noon – 3 pm<br />

Put your wastebasket to work with collaborative, found object<br />

installations and sculpture. Participants will work with a DCCA<br />

Teaching Artist to trans<strong>for</strong>m ordinary discards like milk<br />

jugs and broken shoelaces into tremendous one-of-a-kind<br />

creations!<br />

Bright Lights, Big ART<br />

Sunday, May 20, Noon – 3 pm<br />

Be inspired by <strong>the</strong> sights and sounds of <strong>the</strong> big city! Using<br />

geometric <strong>for</strong>ms children will work with a DCCA Teaching<br />

Artist to make a city of <strong>the</strong>ir own, and <strong>the</strong>n make a BOOM with<br />

o<strong>the</strong>r families as we make your world come to life with sound!<br />
