A panoramic projection of an imagined
cosmos, this hypnotic video transports
gallery visitors to nebulous galaxies and
lunar landscapes reminiscent of science
fiction film imagery. Using a variety of
self-produced and appropriated imagery,
collaborators Hironaka and Suib explore
the narrative and metaphorical potential
of images and sound within the context of
current and historical events, and cinematic
conventions.

burnt wood, which the artist states is a
material that bears evidence of survival.
Her work explores the destructive forces of
nature, the consequences of ill-conceived
human activity, and the vulnerability of
