Sunny Central product line, SMA
offers central inverters intended specifically
for high-performance class
installations. Thanks to their particular
features, such as high efficiency, string
monitoring, team capability, medium
voltage feed, and the possibility of
outdoor installation, Sunny Centrals
are optimally suited for deployment
in solar power plants with a homogeneous
structure.
An Investment That Pays Off
From the 100 kW Sunny Central up
to the first 1 megawatt solar inverter
in series production, SMA Sunny
Centrals achieve the best efficiency
in this performance bracket, and are
therefore particularly economical.
With the Sunny Central 100, it was
even possible to improve efficiency to
97.6 percent by utilizing innovative
transformer technologies. Many of
the SMA central inverters can operate
without a low-voltage transformer. The
advantage: higher efficiency through
direct feed into the medium-voltage
grid.
Central inverters with their own weatherproof
housings permit installation
outdoors immediately adjacent to the
generator. As a result, long transmission
distances and construction measures
are eliminated.

Long Service Life
Sunny Centrals are designed for a
lifespan of at least 20 years, because
maximum investment security is only
ensured when inverters operate reliably
and faultlessly over a long period
of time. SMA system monitoring provides
additional operational security:
through comprehensive communication
interfaces with which operators
can monitor their Sunny Centrals from
any PC, via the Internet, anywhere in
the world. Possible output fluctuations
can thus be recognized and corrected
early.

service concepts: from service and
