1.12 In February 2012 the group circulated a sec<strong>on</strong>d newsletter to every home in the village. Once<br />
again copies were also placed <strong>on</strong> the Village’s website and noticeboards. This was followed by a<br />
third newsletter in April 2012. The April newsletter was followed by the delivery of the<br />
Questi<strong>on</strong>naire to every home in the village with additi<strong>on</strong>al copies located in Starbucks<br />
newsagents.<br />
1.13 Questi<strong>on</strong>naires were delivered to every household in the parish, numbering approximately 1,450.<br />
In total, 556 questi<strong>on</strong>naires were returned, representing a 39% resp<strong>on</strong>se rate. Analysis of the<br />
results can be found in Appendix 2.<br />
1.14 In August and September 2012 two further c<strong>on</strong>sultati<strong>on</strong> events took place in which the<br />
community was presented with some sites for potential development and asked to identify their<br />
preferred sites, ideally with reas<strong>on</strong>s. This informati<strong>on</strong> was combined with the technical<br />
assessments undertaken of the availability, suitability and deliverability of the sites to ascertain<br />
which represented the most sustainable locati<strong>on</strong>s for growth which have been included as<br />
allocati<strong>on</strong>s in the plan.<br />
1.15 The Steering Group was made up of representatives from the Parish Council, <str<strong>on</strong>g>Rollest<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g> Civic<br />
Trust and parish residents. The elected Chairman was a member of the Parish Council and<br />
m<strong>on</strong>thly updates were provided to members of the Parish Council. For voting purposes each<br />
member of the group was allowed <strong>on</strong>e vote.<br />
