Here’s a snapshot from an International Selection Panel in Mexico City, April 2008:
Candice Roberts found an innovative
way to create employment at a new level
in South Africa, a country scarred by a
30–40% unemployment rate. CallForce
Direct recruits and trains young South
Africans for the call center industry in
South Africa. Candice specifically looks
to assist previously disadvantaged South
Africans develop the skills they need for
the 21st century economy. In doing so,
she has created a sustainable business that
is developing thousands of skilled laborers.
Endeavor’s work with CallForce focuses
on increasing its innovation in the market
place. In the summer of 2007, an MBA
student from Cornell helped develop a
new agent retention strategy. The findings
were so stellar that Candice is in the process
of publishing a white paper for the
community. In 2008, a second MBA
student recruited by Endeavor conducted
further research which Candice recently
presented at the World Africa Contact
Centre Conference!

SIGNIFICANTLY, INCREASING THE NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES
TO OVER 1300 AND INCREASING REVENUES ALMOST 400%.
TIM DRAPER, Co-founder & Managing Director of the US-based VC
firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Endeavor Global Board member,
agreed to mentor two online start-ups, Chile’s Needish.com and
Argentina’s LeadtoRealty.com.

FERNANDO CAMMAROTA
ALI AL-HUSRY, the former CEO of Capital Bank in Jordan and
Endeavor Jordan’s chairman, saw great potential in the design
work of Ezequiel Farca, a Mexican entrepreneur and offered to
make connections for the company to launch in Dubai.
JOSÉ FOURQUET, an Endeavor Global Advisory Board member,
plans to fly down to rural Uruguay to strengthen the
organizational structure of Black River Sturgeons, a family
caviar company going head-to-head with the industry
leaders in Russia and Iran.
Fernando Cammarota has moved from the
fast lane to the safe lane! He started his
career as a race car driver, but now runs
CEPA, a company that specializes in driver
training and accident prevention consulting.
CEPA has quickly become the leader in its
field, servicing roughly 30,000 vehicles and
projecting an almost twenty-fold increase
in this number by 2011.
As his company grows, Fernando is
genuinely committed to giving back to
his community, delivering on his potential
to become an inspiring entrepreneurial role
model for his fellow Uruguayans. He has
already provided pro-bono driving safety
classes for the entire Endeavor community!
Endeavor has paired Fernando with a
VP of communications at Coca Cola,
who is mentoring Fernando on internal
communication and management.
