SEEE 50 th
Anniversary
Celebrations
Since technology courses were
first offered by the Singapore
Polytechnic in 1957, the School
of Electrical & Electronic Engineering
(SEEE) had provided 50 years of sterling
education and training.
Many of its graduates have moved on
to become successful entrepreneurs,
academic, industrialists and technologists.
These graduates have also witnessed
and played important roles in the
transformation of our nation from being
a Third World country to be amongst the
most admired in the world.
To mark its 50th anniversary, SEEE is
organising a year-long celebration from
September 2007 to September 2008.
In February this year, a Logo and Tagline
Contest was launched to choose an
appropriate logo and tagline to represent
the year-long celebration. Out of 14
logos and 71 taglines submitted by staff,
students and alumni, the winning design
shown on the left was picked by more
than 50% of SEEE staff.
