Parish Outreach Helping
Hands Tree Christmas Gift
Tags have all been chosen by
our parishioners as of the
close of 11:30am Mass
Sunday November 27th.
We would like to remind those of you who
have taken the gift cards to PLEASE return
the gift wrapped present along with the gift
tag firmly attached on or before December
15th so that the presents can be distributed on
Sunday December 18th. If you were unable to
chose a gift tag and would still like to donate a
gift to a family in need please contact the
Parish Outreach Office at 475-9580. Store
gift cards can be dropped off to the Parish
Outreach Office and will be given to those
families in need of presents for their children.
Making A Difference
We would like to thank The Milano Family along
with some of our confirmation candidates, who this
year held a food drive outside of Waldbaum’s Food
Store in Patchogue. This food was collected for and
generously donated to the Our Lady of Mount Carmel
Parish Outreach.
We would like to thank all of the parishioners of
Our Lady of Mount Carmel for your overwhelming
generosity that has enabled the pantry shelves of our
Parish Outreach to overflow with food that has been
and will be given to those is need this holiday season.
Your generosity this year has enabled us to provide
123 families Thanksgiving Dinner.
We would like to thank the
Navy Seals Team 6 for their
generous donation to
Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
The students of Holy Angels Regional School would like
to thank you all for supporting our annual World’s Finest
Candy bar sale!! Thanks to your generosity we sold 669
bars and received $103.00 in donations. With the
donated funds, we are giving Parish Outreach 103 candy
bars to distribute to members of our community who
receive assistance through our Parish. We’re sure that
will bring a smile to the faces of many children in our
community Thank you for helping us to help others!!

Sign of the Times
As a little girl climbed onto Santa’s lap. Santa
asked the usual, “And what would you like for
Christmas?”
The child stared at him for a minute, then
gasped, “Didn’t you get my e-mail?”
A woman went to the post office to buy
stamps for her Christmas cards. “What denomination?”
asked the clerk.
“Oh, good heavens! Have we come to this?”
said the woman. “Well, give me 30 Catholic ones, 10
Baptist ones, 20 Lutherans and 40 Presbyterian.”
Each year it seems there are more families in need
of assistance. Thanks to the donations made both
financially and with food donations we are able to
continue this ministry.

As Christmas approached, a young boy was
praying upstairs while his mother sat beside him. His
dad and grandmother were downstairs. “Lord, I pray
for a train set, a remote-control car and a new bicycle!!!
He proclaimed.
“You don’t have to shout, dear,” said his
mom. “God’s not deaf.”
“I know,” said the boy. “But Grandma is.”
