Attention all Boys and Girls
who have already received their
First Communion and are willing
and able to serve at Sunday
Liturgy. We would like to have
at least two servers for each
mass. So if you feel you would
want to help and your parents would
be able to support your participation,
we welcome you to attend an information
and training meeting on Saturday,
December 10th at 11:00AM in
the Church.

The Road Trip-A Travel Guide for Life’s Journey

We all have a purpose in this life, but our purpose is not an end
result. The journey from our first pitiful cry to our last breath
and sigh— the challenging road trip that is life is what brings
us excitement, meaning and lasting grace. In The Road Trip: A
Travel Guide for Life’s Journey, teacher and author Kathleen
Graviano, who is also Deacon Tony’s wife, shares the many
lessons she has learned along life’s way and helps us discover
the skills and attitudes to not only survive our journey but to
actually enjoy the ride.
The Road Trip is available at our religious store in the front of
the church. It is also available through your local bookseller or
preferred on-line retailer such as Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
COMMUNITY EVENTS
Christmas Concert Benefits The Inn Soup Kitchen
Wyandanch, New York
Through the generosity of the Church of St. Joseph,
on Sunday, December 11th at 7pm St. Joseph’s
Choir and friends will present a FREE concert at
St. Joseph’s Church in Babylon Village. They will
perform Handel’s MESSIAH and Vivaldi’s GLORIA
directed by Dr. Marie Drohan and accompanied by
soloists and sophisticated strings. Additionally the
choir will sing Bibel’s “Ave Maria” and Nance’s
“A Child My Choice” will be enhanced by the
outstanding voice of tenor, Robert Murphy.
Preceding the concert will be a candlelight
procession.
Worldwide Candle Lighting Ceremony
Sunday, December 11th at 6:30pm
Please come and join us for this world wide
commemoration which honors children, siblings and
grandchildren of all ages who have died from any
cause. We do this to honor children, that their light
may always shine. We will be sharing readings,
candle lighting, and fellowship. Good Shepherd R.C.
