Automotive Service Technician – February 2010 start
• Students from across Langley School District are welcome to apply for a seat in this 1
semester program during their Grade 11 or 12 year. Students will attend their own school
for 1st semester, from Sept. - Jan. and attend ACSS for the 2 nd semester.
• This program is open to both male and female candidates.
• Students complete an intense training program that includes:
• a combination of practical and theory training at ACSS to gain the required skills and
knowledge
• 4 weeks of training at Kwantlen Polytechnic University Cloverdale campus
• 4 weeks of (paid or unpaid) work experience
Carpentry – February 2010 start
• Students from across Langley School District are welcome to apply for a seat in this 1
semester program during their Grade 11 or 12 year. Students will attend their own school
for 1st semester, from Sept.- Jan. and attend ACSS for the 2 nd semester.
• This program is open to both male and female candidates.
• Students complete an intense training program that includes:
• a combination of practical and theory training at ACSS to gain the required skills and
knowledge

Hairdressing – February 2010 start
• Students from across Langley School District are welcome to apply for a seat in this 2
semester program which runs during their Grade 11 & 12 years. Students will attend their
own school for 2 semesters, and attend ACSS for 2 semesters. Students graduate from
their home school, on time and with their classmates.
• This program is open to both male and female candidates.
• Students completing this program earn a minimum of 900 hours towards the 1500 hours
required to write the ITA’s hairdressing Certificate of Qualification exam. Remaining hours
are completed in a paid position.
Piping/Plumbing – February 2010 start
• Grade 11 Students from across Langley School District are welcome to apply for a seat in
this 2 semester program during their Grade 11 & 12 years. Students will attend their own
school for 2 semesters, and attend LSS for 2 semesters. Students graduate from their
home school, on time and with their classmates.
• This program is open to both male and female candidates.
• Students complete an intense training program that includes:
• a combination of practical and theory training at LSS to gain the required skills and
knowledge
• 8 weeks of additional training at BCIT’s Burnaby campus during the Fall semester of the
program.
