DINING at the Holiday Inn, members of the STAR social club and their dates enjoy the food at the ir "Happiness Is" banquet. STAR. TOP ROW: Mrs. Rouse (sponsor), Cleveland, Cook, Daniel. Club Beou larry Davis Club Beau Din Green STAR Snoopy, Charlie Brown create high points of Star's banquet The STAR social club began the 1970 school year with the rough initiation of seven worried pledges. A tea and formal initiation were held at the home of Patti Helsten. Shortly after initiation of the pledges, the club members chose senior Darleen Jones to represent the club in the May Day festivities. The STAR's had as the theme for their winter banquet "Happiness Is." This theme was carried out with "Peanuts" characters for table and wall decorations. Attending the banquet were club sponsor, Mrs. Ann House, and the club beaux, senior Larry Davis and junior Dan Green. 281
SHOWING the great Wildcat spirit and enthusiasm at a blazing bonfire are some chilled <strong>Academy</strong> students and cheerleaders. FAITHFULLY performing another cheerleading duty, co·coptain Mona Prock hangs up a sign adding to the Wildcat enthusiasm. STUDENT LIFE Energy and enthusiasm spark wonderful year for <strong>Academy</strong> STUDIOUS seniors manage to get in a few words durin,g snack brea k while Mrs. Welch briefly leaves the library unattended .
