Steel industry professional, Kawasho Corporation,
exhibits its maximum competence in an operations
system that provides localized steel processing
centers and diverse customer services.
From its inception, Kawasho has sold steel
products in Japan for JFE Steel Corporation.
Our steel processing centers also deal in various
made-to-order steel products. The centers handle
three main product categories: thick steel plate,
steel sheet and construction/civil engineering
materials. We shall continue to function to the full
as a trading company, maintaining and expanding
processing centers as sales bases with physical
distribution and warehousing capabilities that
assure timely response to a variety of customer
requirements.

To boost competitiveness in steel business, our
core competence, Group companies are continuing
to reorganize and integrate operations.
Through the reorganization and unification of
Kawasho’s construction material business in
western Japan and a former affiliated company of
Kawasaki Steel Corporation, we have established a
specialist construction materials sales company
that has already started sales. Unification has
strengthened our business capabilities, enabling us
to promptly meet customer needs. By reducing
costs through improved and intensified production
and systemization, we aim to boost sales
competitiveness, thereby solidifying our position in
the steel supply industry in western Japan. In
October 2003, four steel processing centers was
unified in the Kanto area to establish the new
company. Focusing on reinforcing business
operations in a particular region to create the
optimum business and processing system will help
improve efficiency while raising
competitiveness. Furthermore, we aim to
unify Kawasho’s corporate strategy to boost
earnings, and improve sales of processed
steel products in the Kanto area. The
integration of Group companies dealing with
building materials is also under review.
In February 2004, with the joint investment of
Metal One Corporation, we established
"Mizushima Metal Products Corporation," and
is strengthening blanking operations with a
view to expanding demand from the
automakers and automotive parts
