Kawasho is expanding this part of the
business, mainly through a stable
supply of the world’s premium-grade
coke from China to the JFE Group.
We are focusing on undersized cokes
generated by JFE Steel, and
conducting transactions with
interested parties, including Japanese
ferrous alloy manufacturers. While
matching the needs for both volume
and quality for electric furnace, nonferrous
and coal users, we are
developing a full range of services
nationwide.

Expanding international trade in Asia
[ Scrap Iron ]
Kawasho’s efforts to expand the sale of scrap
iron extends to the whole of East Asia. We handle
the scrap iron generated by the JFE Group, and
secure dedicated loading berths at JFE Steel
(East Japan Work) in Chiba prefecture to improve
the efficiency of ocean freight forwarding.
We work at reinforcing collection of information
on dismantling iron, improve shipping capability
for scrap on the market and increase the number
of new customers.

We have expanded the import of ferrous/nonferrous
raw materials to assure stable supplies
mainly to JFE Steel. We are also seeking to
further expand by dealing with domestic and
overseas electric furnaces, while conducting
exports and intermediary transactions in East
Asia.
