Definition:<br />

‘Lai Tai’ or <strong>SUNDS</strong><br />

<strong>Sudden</strong> death during sleep (mainly nocturnal sleep,<br />

but may also occur during daytime resting or<br />

napping) in previously healthy individuals, without<br />

known predisposing illness, predominantly in<br />

males with ethnic origins in the Northeastern<br />

region of Thailand, ages from 21-45 yrs, and with no<br />

definitive pathological findings.<br />
