Access to course sites will be granted on the first day of the semester.
TEXTBOOKS AND MATERIALS
Books and materials for online courses (as required) are available at all WCCCD campus bookstore locations.
COMPUTER SKILL REQUIREMENTS
While there is no need to be a computer “techie,” it is important to have a working knowledge of your computer peripherals and
software applications.
MINIMUM EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
Platform: PC (Windows XP, Vista, 7), Mac (OSX 10.5, 10.6)
Hardware: 2 GB of RAM, 2 G of free disk space, sound card with speaker
Modem: Ethernet or wireless network card
Software: Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Reader. MAC users will need to have Microsoft Office for MAC.
Browser: Internet Explorer 8 or later, Mozzila 3.5 or 3.6, Safari 3.2, 4.0
NOTE: JavaScript & Cookies must be enabled.

Online classes follow the same registration, withdrawal, and refund guidelines as face-to-face classes.

MICHIGAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE VIRTUAL LEARNING COLLABORATIVE (MCCVLC)
The MCCVLC is a project of the Michigan Community College Association that distributes online class offerings from member institutions to
students in a virtual learning environment with support services provided by the host school. Any student currently enrolled in a Michigan
community college may register for one or more of the courses. To register for classes, students can log onto the MCCVLC website,
www.mccvlc.org. Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD) students cannot register for WCCCD classes through the MCCVLC.
